Herts county council directive - all schools should be open
hooray - say the parents of St. Albans.
BUT
for those poor molly coddled kids that need to travel to school by car - would not a bit of salt on the trecherous roads be a good idea?
We commandeered the use of a sledge today from a neighbour and got the kids to school that way, but I was shocked at the amount of coaches and lorries (with professional drivers) slipping and sliding all over the place - the result? car drivers (the non professional drivers) panicking and causing chaos for vehicles and pedestrians alike!
stay off the road unless you are working, or going to work - today is not the day for a leisurely drive ANYWHERE!
